Acne Treatment Specialist Katy TX. How To Get Rid Off Acne

Acne is a very common skin disease that affects around 85 percent of people at some point during their lives.

The most common symptoms are annoying pimples, which are difficult to manage.

Although conventional treatment methods can help remove pimples, they're usually associated with negative consequences, like skin irritation and dryness.

A lot of users opt for natural remedies to quickly get rid of their pimples. While there are many natural solutions to acne, only a few have been scientifically tested to work.

What is the cause of pimples?

It is essential to understand the cause of each skin problem before we can treat it effectively. Let's look at the basic information about pimples.

What are pimples? These are pores which have been blocked by oil (called Sebum) and dead skin cells. Pimples are tiny, red bumps that form when pores become blocked. Additionally, blocked pores may result in blackheads (clogged pores that are open) or whiteheads(clogged closed pores). And, even more importantly pustules that are inflamed which create painful and difficult cysts.

What is the cause of acne? There are many factors that cause pimples. Many of these factors are often due to hormonal changes. The hormonal changes that happen in puberty and, for women, menopause and pregnancy may cause too much oil production and/or reduction of the skin's cells. Don't forget the menstrual cycle. Combining these changes with the month-long period, normal skin bacteria go to full-on within the pores when a few pimples start to develop. This bacteria glut irritates skin and causes pimples to become more prominent.

Some treatments are:

  • Using the body wash with benzoyl peroxide. The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) suggests leaving the body wash on the chest or back for 2-5 minutes prior to washing. You can use a 5.3% solution for sensitive skin. People with oily skin can apply as high as a 10% solution.

  • Applying a 0.1 percent Adapalene Gel on any area of the skin. You can buy the gel at a pharmacy. A device can be purchased to assist someone who has difficulty reaching their back to apply the gel.

  • Change your clothes immediately after exercising to reduce sweat and oil build-up. If an individual cannot shower immediately after exercising cleaning the skin with a cleanser or flannel can help.

  • Avoid picking at pimples, or scratching them. This can lead here to more severe signs.

  • Use oil-free sunscreens while out in the sun. Manufacturers may label these products as non-comedogenic. They can help prevent the buildup of oil on the skin.

  • Always use products that are fragrance-free and free of oil. Avoiding oils and scents on areas that are prone to acne on the body will lower the risk of breakouts of acne on the body.

Make these points in your mind and consult an acne specialist who will look at your lifestyle, skin, medications as well as other factors to find a comprehensive solution to your acne problems.
